Kurt Hummel of Lima, Ohio, grew up believing that he’d never truly be happy until he met his soulmate, thanks to hours of Disney movies and romantic Broadway musicals. The other boy, Blaine Anderson of Westerville, Ohio, did not share this belief. Since the disintegration of his parents’ marriage, he’d believed that love didn’t exist. Kurt meets Blaine on January 8th in a New York office building. In an instant, he will know that Blaine’s the one he’s been looking for. But before they meet, you should know up front that this is not a love story.

When Kurt arrives home and opens the door to see Blaine kneeling on the hard wood of their living room, thick leather collar tightened around his neck and eyes downcast, he knows already that tonight is going to be one of those nights.
He slowly shuts the door behind him, and still Blaine doesn’t flinch. Kurt shrugs off his jacket, stares at Blaine’s bare chest, bare legs, siren-red panties, the clench of his fingers against his thighs and the slight shift of his body as he adjusts. Kurt isn’t sure how long Blaine’s been kneeling—when Blaine gets like this it could be hours that he’s sat here, waiting for Kurt to get home, and the last thing Kurt wants is Blaine hurting before things have even begun.
